US: 1 Dead at Vancouver Apartment Shooting in Washington

A Thursday afternoon shooting at a Vancouver, Washington retirement home has left one person dead and several others injured. According to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), the shooting began in the lobby of Smith Tower Apartments where the shooter is a resident, and three people have been shot. Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services said injured people have been transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Two victims were injured and one has died. Vancouver police were in negotiations with the suspect, who was barricaded inside an apartment at the complex, for a couple of hours. The investigation is ongoing.15 sec video (Looped x2) .
