President of NY Runners Club discusses unknown runner Rosie Ruiz winning

INT, MCU, SOT, static-shot. Fred Lebow, President of the NY Runners Club, discusses his suspicion towards unknown Cuban-American runner, Rosie Ruiz winning the Boston Marathon. He says in an interview: "The moment her name was announced, and I being in New York, a member - uh, we have an organization, which has over 16,000 members, most runners in New York area belonging to our club. She - I've never heard of her, I asked if she runs with any running clubs, she said no. And I asked if she's ever raced in any races outside of the New York Marathon, she said no. That's quite odd, in New York City where you have more running events than anywhere else in the world - she shouldn't race at any kind of event between one mile and a hundred miles. Further, we came back to New York last night, we checked the video tapes of our finish line, and we have conclusive evidence that she did not cross the finish line between the hours of 2:40 and 3:10."
