NEW YORK, NY – FEBRUARY 27: A predominantly Jewish crowd protest outside of NBC studios against 'Saturday Night Life’ star Michael Che's 'anti-Semitic' joke on Saturday February 27, 2021. Demonstrators chanted: "NBC, you're now funny." "Anti-Semitism is not funny." "Shame on NBC." "SNL, apologize!" The protest is being co-sponsored by End Jew Hatred, former Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind, Liberate Art and Yad Yamin New York. In the Saturday Night Life episode in question the comedian said: "Israel is reporting that they’ve vaccinated half of their population. I’m going to guess it’s the Jewish half."
