Russia’s Northern fleet nuclear submarines conduct missile firing exercise in Barents Sea

This missile firing exercise was conducted in compliance with the combat training plan of the Northern Fleet for the winter training period," the statement detailed.The statement said the target simulated a group of hostile landing ships, noting that the submarines launched Kalibr and Granit missiles, reaching a distance of approximately 170 kilometers.Objective controls confirmed the success of the combat exercise, with the missiles demonstrating their intended characteristics and high reliability.To ensure safety, the exercise area was sealed off for civilian navigation and air flights by warships from the Kola Flotilla, the statement added.(Footage by /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
