Congressman Clay supports policing reform legislation

Missouri Congressman William Lacy Clay says in floor debate on the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act that future generations would look at the moment and wonder when Congress had the opportunity to guide the country in an ongoing quest to be a more perfect union what they did, Congress having a chance to make right many wrongs perpetrated on people of color to ensure the country lived up to a great promise, to get to yes on the bill, video evidence showed African Americans were still do the rights of privileges granted by the 14th Amendment, quoting Missouri poet Langston Hughes that he cannot understand why democracy meant everybody but him since he also was America.
