Tokyo Hotel To Start ”Hello Kitty” Rooms
TOKYO, JAPAN - OCT. 28: A major Tokyo hotel operator said it will open special guest rooms decorated with “Hello Kitty” cat character to commemorate the 40th anniversary of one of the most popular Japanese characters, now loved by fans around the world, from children to Hollywood celebrities. Keio Plaza Hotel said it will furnish a few selected rooms at its Shinjyku and Tama hotels with the character imagesfrom walls, furniture to the amenities, in partnership with Sanrio Company, the producer of the character. They will produce two different types of “Hello Kitty Rooms,” offering its guests lodging in a dream world. -- The “KITTY TOWN” room motif features cheerful décor, designed by KPH’s dedicated designers, with the overall theme of Hello Kitty’s holidays in Tokyo. Keio Plaza Hotel created the rooms for its guests to relive their childhood again in dreams with Hello Kitty. The “PRINCESS KITTY” room is designed along the concept that this is the princess’ room, where she spends her private relaxing time among her favorites.
