Congressman Jeffries says there no military action should be taken without explicit approval by Congress after Maduro captured

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York says at his first news conference of 2026 that there was no military action that should be taken in Venezuela, Greenland, Panama, Canada, Cuba or anywhere else on this globe without explicit approval by the United States Congress, declared that was their position and they were going to work hard to make sure they passed the legislation necessary to deal with an administration that was clearly out of control, and noted the administration was not focused on actually doing the things domestically that were designed to make life better for the American people.
