CALCUTTA, INDIA - APRIL 2009: The Ganges Wrestling Club in Calcutta, which was founded in 1961 by the guru and wrestler Shri Nathmal Pareek, where about 40 people practice 'khushti' (Indian wrestling). The voting for India's elections, the world's largest democratic process, goes through five different stages between April 16, 2009 to May 13, 2009, with a final result expected on May 16, 2009 once counting of votes is completed. A total of 714 million people are eligible to vote at 828,804 polling centres. The main two coalitions competing for power are the United Progressive Party (UPA) who have been in government for five years, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), however a third coalition of regional & left-wing parties could also challenge.
