DETROIT, MICHIGAN- JUNE 06: The historic Fisher Body Plant 21 is in ruins and is deteriorating more daily.
The Fisher Body Plant 21 was built in 1919 and designed by Albert Kahn. In its heyday, it churned out 370,000 car bodies per year for Cadillac, Buick, Ford, Chevrolet, and other iconic companies. Detroit has tens of thousands of blighted, abandoned and burned-out structures. A program will begin soon to systematically tear many of them down.(Photo by Michael S.
