Icebergs affected by climate change in Greenland

Ilulissat, Greenland - May 17: Icebergs, calved from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier, float in the Ilulissat Icefjord. 2022 will mark one of the biggest ice melt years for Greenland in recorded history. Since measurements began in April 2002, the Greenland Ice Sheet has lost about 4700 gigatons (=4700 km³, enough to cover the entire U.S. by half a meter of water).
