SARISHABARI, JAMALPUR, MYMENSINGH, BANGLADESH - 2016/08/16: An Indian stray elephant Bangabahadur that entered the Bangladesh territory floating with currents of floodwater about one and a half months ago, has died at Korai village under Sharisabari upazilla of Jamalpur district. The rescuers had been trying to move the elephant from the area for the last several days. Wildlife inspector Mr. Asim Mallik said the elephant died failing to withstand excessive temperature around 6:30 am.However, locals alleged that the elephant might have died due to overdose of the tranquilizer, which was administered to it by special guns four times on Sunday.
