From the imposing tower of St. Anastasia's cathedral there is a magnificent view of the old town of Zadar. There is no doubt the spectacular Forum Square where the Roman Forum was located, where the public life of the Roman city passed from the 1st century BC to the 3rd century AD. The Zadar forum was the largest in this part of the Adriatic, 90 meters long by 45 meters wide, with three porticoed galleries and marble columns. In the same square is the Archaeological Museum founded in 1832 that conserves pieces of the different times of the city.
