Pharoah bläckfisk (Sepia) bläckfisk ägg - Bildbanksvideo

Two Cuttlefish (Sepia) are mating above a coral reef in the Andaman Sea, Thailand. The female in front laying their eggs in the coral reef. Their colours match the reef identically, behind her, the male flashing neon to impress the female. A third male challenger lurks in the background hoping to steal the female. This amazing display of camouflage protects and allows them to avoid and conquer attacks from predators. This is a primal instinctive behaviour displayed by the Cephalopod, that helps to ensure their survival and success as a species. Footage taken whilst scuba diving near Phi Phi islands, Krabi, Thailand.
