North Korea Warns U.S., South Korea Of Prompt Counterattack Ahead Of Seoul-Washington Summit Talks

PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA - MAY 7: North Korea issued a warning to the United States and South Korea, criticizing the start on May 5 of the two countries' joint military drill in the Yellow Sea near the border of North and South Korea and saying that it would immediately launch a counterattack if "even a single shell drops" over its territorial waters, according to the Korean Central News Agency. The North's Korean People's Army also hinted again at the possibility of a missile strike against the United States and South Korea in a move believed to keep a check on the two countries ahead of summit talks between U.S. President Barack Obama and South Korean President Park Geun Hye in Washington on May 7.
