John Yarmuth floor remarks opposing fiscal 2018 budget

Kentucky Congressman John Yarmuth says as a two-day debate on the fiscal 2018 budget resolution concluded that he supposes he should say thank you for a huge tax cut under the plan because those fortunate enough to be millionaires like himself in Congress will get more money in their pockets. Yarmuth calls the budget a slap in the face with all the problems facing the country, but he is really small potatoes compared to President Donald Trump, who according to a financial disclosure would see hundreds of millions of dollars in tax cuts coming from regular Americans over paying for programs for seniors, the disabled, low income whose health care would be cut, those trying to put food on the table and heat their homes for winter, veterans programs, meals for hungry schoolchildren, making educational affordable and job training, concluding he cannot fathom how his Republican colleagues are able to justify their budget.
