Los Angeles Times Photographer Kent Nishimura Coverage At January 6th Attack On US Capitol

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 6: After entering the door crowds move through the halls of the building into the rotunda where crowds chant "Treason, Treason" "This Is Our House" after a pro-Trump mob breaks into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 in Washington, DC. While Congress held a joint session to ratify President-elect Joe Biden's Electoral College win over President Donald Trump, pro-Trump protesters illegally entered the U.S. Capitol building following "Stop The Steal" rallies in the nation's capital. Los Angeles Times photographer Kent Nishimura was assigned to cover a pro-Trump rally at the Ellipse, just south of the White House. Nishimura followed the demonstrators and mob, documenting the attack on the Capitol in real time.
