HARROGATE, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 13: HRH Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex inspects recruits as they graduate from the Army Foundation College in Harrogate on February 13, 2020 in Harrogate, England. HRH Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex was the senior inspecting officer for the graduation parade and the Queen’s representative. The Army Foundation College in Harrogate opened in 1998 and is the Army’s flagship training establishment for young soldiers. It provides training for soldiers destined for all the Army's career paths and provides training for over 1344 junior soldiers. During their time at the college the students are taught basic military skills and can achieve vocational qualifications, City and Guilds apprenticeships and take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. The graduation parade is the largest in Europe and is only exceeded in size by the Trooping of the Colour in London. Following the parade the students will go on for further specialist training before finally joining their units and moving forward with their military careers. (Photo by Ian Forsyth/Getty Images)
