Moss Park safe injection site

TORONTO, ON - August 22 Bean (his name) is a community health worker who leads the drug checking service. Clients can give a small sample of their drugs to be tested to see if they are safe or not. Bean looks at the results on one of the samples. The Moss Park safe consumption site is not on the list of those being closed by the Ford government. However, the landlord wants to evict the site to redevelop because Moss Park is getting an Ontario Line subway. The innocuous building is near the corner of Queen and Sherbourne. Staff and volunteers at the site assist hundred of drug users a month with a safe place to hang out, learn facts, get a snack, have their drugs analyzed and have supervision and clean apparatus to take their drugs.
