King Frederik Attends 33rd BSPC Conference Reception At Kronborg Castle

The Cannon Toast was introduced by King Frederik 2 (1534-1588), who built Kronborg Castle, and he used the cannon salute when toasting his guests. The tale of the king's cannon toast travelled all over Europe and reached Shakespeare who mentions the cannon toast in his famous play Hamlet, that is set at Kronborg.
