Humanitarian Crisis-Response Simulation Exercise
NORTH ANDOVER, MA - APRIL 25: Mass. General physician Peter Moschovis, left, is mock-detained by volunteer mock-Chad soldier Peter O'Connell, as part of a humanitarian training simulation. The Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) and the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University recreated Darfur refugee camps along the Chad-Sudan border in a simulation exercise in the Harold Parker State Forest. This exercise was to test the crisis-response skills of graduate students completing a certificate in humanitarian response. The certificate is offered jointly by the Harvard School of Public Heath, Tufts University, and MIT. The goal of the program is to train the next generation of humanitarian leaders.
