Locals Make Use Of Phnom Penh's Public Exercise Spots

Cambodians remain statistically some of the thinnest people in the world while in other Asian nations, such as Malaysia, obesity has become a major issue. Though economic hardships and strenuous labour are largely responsible for the slimness of Cambodians rural citizens, for residents of the capital - who often have sedentary jobs and access to high-fat, fast food diets - public exercise facilities keep the public health in check. Group aerobic dance classes are held twice daily in the Olympic Stadium, and along the bustling riverside district, with both locations also offering space for jogging, callisthenics, and weight training.
