'Le Musee Des Confluences' Opens In Lyon

LYON, FRANCE - DECEMBER 18: View of the Lyon's Confluence Museum."Ask the earth and relate the man", that is the ambition of the Confluence Museum on December 18, 2014 in Lyon, France.The building is often compared to a spaceship, but in realty it resembles a floating crystal cloud.Its dimension are impressive, 180 metres long, 90 metres wide and 45 metres hight.This is composed in three units, the Cloud, Crystal and base.At nearly 11,000m2, the Cloud is home to the permanent and temporary collections on 4 levels and is covered with stainless steel plates weighing 6,000 tons.The cost of the museum has increased from 61 to 287 million euros.
