BERLIN, GERMANY - JULY 27: The East Harbour section of the River Spree on July 27, 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Site of the Mediaspree area was primarily occupied by industry and trade. Mediaspree is one of the largest property investment projects in Berlin. Many of the buildings still standing date from this period and are characteristic of the architecture of that era. A few of these are now protected by the Denkmalschutz designation that is they are listed as historical monuments.Between 1939 and 1945 the premises were primarily used by the German Armed Forces.
