Soldiers Guarding Egyptian Treasure Site

(Original Caption) The discovery and removal of treasures valued at $15,000,000 from the tomb of King Tutankhamen, who reigned at Luxor, Egypt, 3,500 years ago is shown. At present the treasures are being removed from the outer tomb, under the direction of Howard Carter, the American Archaeologist, who with Lord Carnarvon, headed the expedition of discovery. This photo shows troops who are on guard night and day, closely following the removal of a chair from the tomb in an upright position. All the treasures being removed showed little effects of time.
