The Rebuilding of Over The Rhine Since the City's Strife of 2001

For some, Cincinnati's Over the Rhine neighborhood is a model for how a city can positively move on from racial tension and a disjointed relationship between police officers and the community they serve. Like Ferguson, Missouri, where unarmed African-American Michael Brown was killed by a white police officer, Cincinnati had a similar incident in 2001, where unarmed African American Timothy Thomas was killed by a white police officer.
