Pictures showing a demonstrator writing a slogan against the dictatorship are displayed at the "Resisting is Necessary" exhibit, considered as Brazil's largest exhibition of art and journalism resistance against the country's 1964-1985 dictatorship, at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Centre in Brasilia, on August 6, 2013. Some 600 works, including posters, newspaper publications and works of art by artists who resisted the regime are part of the collection which resulted from a two-year research and gathering driven by the Vladimir Herzog Institute. Brazilian journalist Vladimir Herzog (born in the then Kingdom of Yugoslavia) was allegedly killed by the regime in 1975.
