KABUL, AFGHANISTAN - SEPTEMBER 28: A Norwegian Army soldier and Public Affairs Officer under ISAF command (International Security Assistance Force) rides in a armored personnel carrier in the western sector of Kabul, Afghanistan, on September 28, 2004. NATO assumed leadership of the ISAF mission in August, 2003. ISAF is deployed in four areas of Afghanistan outside of Kabul. There are more than 8,300 soldiers under ISAF command comprising 36 nations. Norway is one-third of a battle group comprising Hungary and Belgium with 550 soldiers. Norway is one-third of a battle group joined with Hungary and Belgium to total 550 soldiers. Norway is the group's leader with 350 soldiers.
