Members of the Salvation Army provide refreshments to the rescue workers at Harrow & Wealdstone station in Middlesex (later part of Greater London) after a rail crash, October 1952. A local passenger train from Tring was struck by an express sleeper train on its way to Perth in Scotland on the morning of October 8th, and moments later the wreckage caused the derailment of a north-bound express train. 112 people were killed, and 340 injured in the crash.
