TV Show for Kids Produced by Women in Tehran

A female camera operator on the set of a television program for Iranian children. Unlike other Islamic countries in the region, women in Iran play a major role in society. Women are still not considered equal to men and are not free to travel alone everywhere. However, since the reformers took over the power many things have changed. Women participate in all levels of society and professions including the media. They play an important role in the making of television shows. Many women work behind and in front of the camera. Some of them operate cameras or hold the boom while others work on the script.
