Demolition of an old concrete office building in downtown Jakarta, Indonesia. Concrete structures are broken by an excavator-mounted jack hammer with tungsten tip. Workers without appropriate safety gear scavenge and retrieve pieces of iron and scrap metal for recycling. Rapid urban redevopment projects are common throughout Jakarta and in most cases the old building structures do not survive the demolition jackhammers. Urban heritage appears of little concern in many bustling Asian cities.
